Great (and sane) approach, Matthew. I'm a firm believer in voting with my feet when I realize that things I like start gradually turning to shite (usually 'greed' is a big culprit). I simply scan the various reports on this crap (with any mention of Manfred really making me speed up) and cancel any appropriate subscription (so long MLB-TV). When the dust settles, I'll re-assess. I feel for the writers whose livelihood is effed by this mess but what are you gonna do .....
If this drags on, as the owners’ posturing indicates it may, if you get the itch to write, remember why the game is fun and why we love it. (The best looking Red Sox Topps baseball cards ever … the best “worst” plays in Sox history*, or whatever … just … fun for fun’s sake … if the mood moves you.)
*Manny’s cutoff may well be the consensus number one, and everyone else battles to not be in second place.
Appreciate that, Tim. It's funny you mention baseball cards, because, like so many, I got back into the hobby recently. There have been some fun Red Sox cards I've picked up over the past few months, so I'd be happy to share them in a post. Maybe that's something to follow up on.
